Mar 6, 2015 - Most automatic-equipped vehicles have this type of built-in transmission cooler inside the radiator. This is fine for most stock applications.

B&M's all-aluminum SuperCooler Automatic Transmission Coolers are designed with stamped plates that are sandwiched together to create a very efficient oil cooling device. These coolers not only maximize cooling through more efficient heat dissipation, but they are also stronger to provide long-term, durable performance. B&M SuperCooler coolers will serve as protection against failure, whether you’re simply traveling to your next destination or racing to the finish line. Cod5 private server patch 17 download. Automatic Transmission SuperCoolers are designed with a 'Low Pressure Drop' feature that uses 3/8' hose barb ends with a unique bypass that allows a controlled amount of transmission fluid to bypass the stacked plate core when the fluid is cold. This is beneficial in cold climates to guard against lube system failure.

Viscosity controls the transmission fluid and returns it directly to the lube circuit through bypass openings in the stacked plate core. To provide optimal heat transfer and protect against lube system failure, more transmission fluid is directed through the core as the temperature increases. Universal SuperCoolers contain 1/2' NPT fittings and are adaptable to steel braided lines and AN fittings. These plate and fin coolers are 1-1/2' thick for extreme efficiency. Suitable for all fluid cooling needs including: automatic transmission fluid, engine oil, differential fluid, power steering and turbocharger oil in circle track, road racing, off-road, tractor pulling and monster truck applications.

Many of you add aftermarket coolers to your cars and this is always a good idea. Here are some hints.

1-Always mount the cooler in a place that has good air flow and if mounting in front of the radiator always make sure the fin's in the cooler are parallel with the fin's in the radiator to avoid restricting air flow to the radiator. If you must place the cooler in and area with little air flow a FAN is a must. 2-When Installing coolers make sure lines are clear of anything that can rub them and always use line that's approved for transmission/hydraulic fluid. Fuel line will not work and will break down in transmission fluid. 3-By passing the radiator is the way I prefer a cooler be set up. Generally the transmission will run cooler this way and additionally this may take some of the load off the radiators job of cooling the engine.

4-When hooking up multiple coolers several things should be noted. The cooler itself is a restriction of flow and this restriction while not a problem for the cooling or lube to the trans can cause excessive pressure inside the converter. This can force the converter against the flex plate more so than normal and cause wear to the engine thrust bearing. A stopped up or severely restricted cooler or cooler lines can do the same.
